Rosalyn was nominated for her caring attitude always willing to lend a helping hand “big or small”. She role models commitment, determination and perseverance in anything she does. The moment she enter the room the children immediately shower her with invitations to play, sing and simply “be friends”. She displays kindness and patience with the children. Rosalyn gets down to their level and engages in teaching, friendships, and making memories to last a lifetime. She is a team player and adapts to her environment in a calm and gentle manner. She has become part of our team at Pilgrim Wood and part of our family at the YMCA of Oakville. We thank her for bringing so much, in the simplest ways to so many.

She truly exemplifies the YMCA values in all that she does.
Nicolas dedicated his entire 8 week summer holiday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm to the Aquatics Lifesaving Leadership camps. He was a huge asset to the delivery of the aquatics program. He engaged with all the participants of all ages. His natural leadership skill came shinning through as he demonstrated and coached participants through a variety of first aid and water rescue skills. Nicolas’ passion for volunteering and caring for others is shown in all that he does. He demonstrated compassion to the participants who required some extra time to ensure they experienced success within the camps. He has set the bar high as a volunteer. It is a great pleasure to have him part of the Y team.
